WP1: Analysis
FORESAW DURATION: 6 months (01.10.2009/30.04.2010)
It will be realized an analysis of the current European landscape in terms of both training in transferable skills for technical and scientific PhDs and career guidance services to support career paths for researchers outside academia. This will identify specific skills around which training modules can be built, such as:
- Soft Skills (e.g. problem solving, negotiation, flexibility, team working...)
- Technology Transfer Skills (e.g. public communication of research, protection of intellectual property rights, management of a research project...)
- Self-management skills (e.g. skills assessment...).
OUTPUTS:
A European-level survey report on current transferable skills training and career counseling services for students in the third cycle of higher education.
The report will be available in the language of the partnership, English, Italian and Spanish.
